Try your wings with this sweet baby owl. A strand of fine mohair held with the wool tweed give this baby owl a soft, downy look.

Size: About 6½” (17cm) tall.

Needles Required: 16” (40cm) circular and a set of double pointed needles in US size 9 (5.5mm).

Yarn Requirements: Use a DK or worsted weight yarn that felts easily held with a strand of fine mohair.

Note: If you cannot find orange owl eyes you can make them by painting the backs of clear animal eyes with acrylic paint in your choice of color or by placing colored felt behind the eye.

One of the owls in the photo has painted clear eyes and they look exactly like the purchased orange eyes.
